About Us

About Us
Vaginal Biome Science (VBS) is a privately held biotechnology company pioneering microbiome-driven solutions for vaginal health. Founded in 2021, VBS was built on a foundation of scientific research, clinical innovation, and proprietary BioMatch® technology, designed to support vaginal microbiome stability and improve long-term health outcomes.
VBS is leading one of the largest vaginal microbiome research initiatives, the VENUS Study, that examines the vaginal microbiome across 12 gynecological conditions at the time of diagnosis. This research, combined with our clinically validated product portfolio, bridges the gap between scientific discovery and real-world applications in women’s health.
In addition to developing patent-backed vaginal care products, VBS is actively advancing diagnostics, biofilm-targeting solutions, and microbiome-supportive therapeutics to revolutionize care for women worldwide.
Vaginal Biome Science is headquartered in Portland, Oregon, with a growing network of healthcare, research, and commercial partners dedicated to shaping the future of evidence-based women’s health solutions.
Vaginal Biome Science (VBS) is an innovative R&D and biotechnology company with deep expertise in transforming microbiome science into clinically validated consumer healthcare solutions. We are dedicated to improving women’s vaginal health through cutting-edge measurement of the microbiome and patented product formulations. We believe in a future where vaginal health is measurable, manageable, and respected as a core component of women’s health.
